Hi – I have a Diplomat ADP8242 and I believe the water is not being heated. At the end of the wash lights 1 and 2 are on along with 5. Can anyone advise whether the heater element needs replacing or if it is the thermostat or even PCB. Where is the thermostat situated and is there anyway of resetting it or testing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Could you let us know which of those lights are flashing and which are static please, all three on together (not flashing) doesn’t indicate an error code I’m afraid 😕

Hi – the first two are flashing and the last (fifth) is static. Also the dishwasher is not drying anything. Many thanks.

Thta’s an E3 error code then, which means as you suggested, the water isn’t heating.

This can be caused by one of a few things, heater, safety thermostat tripped, damaged wiring in the door loom, PCB, a blocked air break unit…

Best bet is ask an engineer in all honesty for this fault as it’s not an easy one, check Repairs@ for one near you 🙂

If you do decide to dive in and have a look, power off please :zap:

    Dave.
