I’d get it checked TBH, it’s liable to be a heater or stat fault I’d imagine so it shouldn’t be that expensive to have fixed and a replacement (same as) will cost you over £350 anyway. It may end up you have to go down that path but it’s worth a punt at a repair in my opinion.
The problem is if you DIY it, you can end up firing in bits at considerable cost and not cure the problem whereas an engineer is most liable to walk in and diagnose the problem in a few minutes. It will cost you to get someone in but you’re paying for the fact that they know what they’re doing. 😉
