Set to any programme, machine drains then stops dead. 7 flashes from indicator, possible flow meter fault.
Looking underneath there is a round black component with a three pin plug attached, sitting into the sump close to the large hose from the heater, this is completely open circuit. Is this the flow meter and if so does anyone know the part number? The diagram on the SIOS disc for this model is not very clear to say the least. I can see what I think is the part but the line from it does not have a part number. 😕
EDIT. I think the part is a 481227128407, listed as diaphragm switch, is this the ‘flow meter’ 😕

The flowmeter is at the bottom front of the water matrix. Take the left hand panel off and you’ll see it there.
Unplug, clean the pcb, tighten the connection. That normally gets it working again.
Round black thing on the base? anti flood device, three tag microswitch.
The other part is the water indicator.

Jim, the flow meter is in the metering system in the left hand side wall.

It’s called a “measurng can”.
Sometimes this fault is caused by a bad connection on the little edge connector type plug. (Or sometimes very low water pressure.)
Worth cleaning the contacts first.

Went back to this today, contacts on small PCb appear perfect, cleaned and tightened just to be sure, set machine back on and it did start to fill for about 15 seconds this time before it aborted, flashing 7 times. blew into pipe to make sure the small turbine was free spinning. Is this likely to be the flow meter itself or a PCB fault?

If the flowrate of water coming in is low, kinked inlet hose or clogged/faulty pressure switch will all cause this to happen. There’s a remote chance of it being a faulty pcb.

Thanks Brian ( for the PM as well) decent water flow into the machine, I have it out in the middle of the kitchen so no kinks etc. Reading between the lines I take it the flow meter is not a common fault. Its a bit of a pain having to change a £55 inlet matrix for this small turbine/Pcb virtually impossible to test it I would have thought. 😕
Pressure switch option may be the next best course of action. customer has sold the house and the machine is staying put so doesn’t want to spend a fortune on it.
