I have encountered an unusual fault on a Diplomat ADP8322 Dishwasher. I replaced the wash pump because the small hose had perished. All initially appeared ok on testing, but then the pump seemed to reduce power, not rotating upper spray arm. Thought it might be a faulty motor, but replacement does the same. All connections and wiring appear ok. Any clues please.
make sure the pipe at the back of the lower spray arm is correctly pressed down, the pipe runs up to the top spray arm it may look ok but if not pressed down properly is can cause the top arm not to turn or turn slowly.
Found the problem. Sump hose is gradually collapsing when wash motor kicks in. To the point where the motor sounds as though it’s running slow. I thought these hoses were quite rigid but this one is very soft. Maybe the W/Pool motors are more powerful than the original Askoll type. Thanks for your input. Hope this might save you some time.
