I have a Diplomat ADP8322 integrated dishwasher which was installed 18 months ago. The machine worked well apart from some initial teething problems (water supply pipe was installed incorrectly by kitchen installers).

Recently it has developed a fault where the green light to the far right (light next to start button) flashes six times and then pauses.

I have the manual but it does not provide any solutions.

Any chance there are any easy initial checks to see what’s wrong before calling a plumber? I’ve cleaned out the filters, checked the salt level, cleaned the sprayer arms.

    Thanks

Hi 6 flashes is pointing to a fill problem ie – Cannot fill in designated time.
This can faulty fill valve, kinked fill hose, clogged mesh filter in fill hose, low water pressure feeding appliance etc 😉

Hi, could this maybe be the problem with my whirlpool that I have posted about, it also flashes 6 times.
Do Diplomat and whirlpool share the same inner workings..?

I finally got a repair team out to have a look at the dishwasher from a UK Whitegoods-recommended engineer. He found that the problem was with a faulty fill meter on the side of the dishwasher.

Now, they told me that they need to order some replacement parts: a flow sensor, a metering flow sensor and a metering tank. They got a quote from the manufacturers for a grand total of £220 inclusive of VAT!!! Not that much short of a new dishwasher.

I’ve had a quick look at some websites (UK whitegoods and interspares) and for the same parts, i.e.

1729900100 – Beko & Diplomat Dishwasher Flow Meter
481241868147 – Whirlpool & Others Dishwasher Fill Chamber (includes metering flow sensor)

I’m getting a total of about £70. My question is, should I buy the spare parts from the UK Whitegoods website myself and ask the engineer to come along to install them?

    Thanks
