The missus opened the door half way through a cycle and so a spark and it , tripped all of the kitchen. Ive tried the fuse on the plug still nothing.

Any ideas ? ive taken the base plate off and can’t see anything unusual, theres no water in the base. Is there a trip switch or something ?

on further inspection a blue wire that goes up behind the door has snapped right where the door opens and shuts at the bottom. Looks like its meant to be encased in plastic but its all worn away, wear and tear id say.

Anybody know if its fixable though ?

Yes, if there’s enough slack in the harness then solder the broken ends together, reinsulate with tape and make sure you pull some slack through from the bottom so a new section is being flexed.

Alternatively cut and splice a several inches of new wire instead.

Make sure the harness is fully insulated (check other wires for cracking) and try to position the whole harness so it flexes in a different place.
