The customer’s complaint was that the machine bleeps at her and would not go.
Could not get it to bleep for me so no fault code.
It fills and sounds like its washing but if you open the door quickly I would expect to get wet, well I don’t and it appears that the spray arms, all 3 are not turning had wash pump off it’s the Big Askoll type, took it apart could not see any problem with it. There appears to be enough water in the machine.
When I have opened the door I have noticed the top basket has moved forward a little.Could this be a faulty motor (slow running) or is it the Filter Cover/Spray Arm Support on the top basket loosing pressure or is it something else?
Any suggestion please

Almost certainly the askoll motor at fault 😡 Will need replacing with the new type 😥 Had to change alot of these in the past – only a matter of time before everyone of them will need changing ❗

If the motor sounds to be running ok, I personaly would rule that out. When the askol type pumps fail, they tend to ‘pulse’ and ‘judder’. Yes there have been LOTS of problems with this Askol motor, but I would look at the sump connection where the feed for the top spray arm connects. It clips in to the sump and is held in place with a couple of torx screws. It has two very fragile plastic lug retainers above 2 barbs (take it apart you will see what I mean) that break. I have changed millions of these, especially when I used to be a CDA repair agent!

The problem continues. Now starts to fill for about 15/20 seconds then the start LED flash 7 times “Flow Meter Failure” Is it the Flow meter or is it the PCB?
Have tested flow meter it has continuity and it turns when it starts to fill, cleaned contacts also checked wires from flow meter to PCB continuity there too.I did have a look at the sieve cover, I see what you mean about the plastic lugs but they are ok.
I guess if these break then the feed for the top spray arm will lift out of its socket and pressure will be lost.January 2, 2008 at 11:16 am #236966whiskeyjack6058

Yep, that is just what happens. I have had the 7 flashes before. I changed the water box on the left side (comes complete I think) and it solved my problem. However I suppose it could be the PCB at fault. Bear in mind, when I had this fault, the dishwasher would sometimes work ok and not others so if the flow meter looks to be ok, there is always a good chance that it isn’t!

Same fault here. Any idea of the part number for the tank?
