Participanthi, can any one give me some advice with regards to my dishwasher, 10 days ago i had a local repair man come and fit a new circulation pump/motor to my machine and it seemed to work ok for the first wash but then after sounded like the new part was revving to get machine to work, i dismissed it for a couple of washes as i thought the new part might just sound different, but then the next time i used it i put it on a 50 degree cycle and as the cycle was coming to a end it went into a error mode which was constant beeping and the rinse light on, and the following time it wouldnt even start this cylce and go straight into same error mode, i then for the next couple of washes tried different programmes which seemed to work on the 30 min cycle, but then again after a few times on that would revert back to the error mode, i have now nticed that this normallt happens in the drying section of the cycle, and have noticed that the pipes that run inside the machine keep popping out so not always sending water where it meant to go! the error code that keeps flashing is 4 flashes then a pause on the start button and the rinse button continously on, i hope you can make some sense of this i do have repair man coming back on wednesday but have already paid out £194.00 and dont want to pay another £40.00 call out before extra work!! any advise appreciated, kopite1973

4 flashes is no drain detected in the time allowed. If the machine does not empty, you have blockage or drain pump failure. If it does empty, the problem lies with the water level sensor. This is the black grid in the sump under the filters. It is a diaphragm switch and is prone to filling up with fatty deposits, which hold the switch in the closed position. You may hit lucky with plenty of very hot water and an old toothbrush. The microswitch on the back is prone to failure, in which case you’ll need THIS.
THIS PART usually sorts out the spray tubes jumping out of position.
Power off if you need to inside the machine.

hi can you tell me how to replace the diaphram switch i know where it is as i tried the hot water and tooth brush method over several days with no luck. I cant see how to get the old diaphram switch out!! thought if i asked now it would save my husband the hassel when he comes to try and replace it!! i managed to sort out the allan keys just by looking in our tool box!!,( i got the repair man back out and he said he cant see anything wrong and he just reset the circulation pump/motor which worked for one wash) thanks for any help sarah

It’s a 1/3rd turn twist fit from underneath. For safety, you are advised to drag the dishwasher out and remove the base tray for access – the metal edges are lethally sharp. Power off, of course.

hi,just to say thanks for instructions on fitting part that is all done now and that fault seems fixed, i still had to get out the local repair man again as machine was just filling and draining and not going any further into cycle, he said he cant see whats wrong with it and took off the circulation motor/pump that he replaced and refitted it, now the machine does a full cycle but the two large spray arms on the bottom and middle of the machine dont seem to move and i cant hear the water being sprayed around the machine? HELP!! thanks for any clues sarah
