Diplomat ADP8322 not heating

Customer complained machine stopped with 3 flashes. From fault codes heating problem. I put machine through test program which it completed no problem, heated as normal.
Left for customer to try again, and same problem, 3 flashes.
Changed NTC, as they can be problematic. Put through test program, no problem. Put onto 50 programme and waited till it heated, no problem.
Customer has just phoned again to say after it had been on for some 2 hours and still stuck on wash she cancelled programme and tried it again and it has failed with 3 flashes again after approx 45 mins.
She is in a hard water area, she uses dishwasher salt and the inside of the machine looks ok.
Wonder if anyone has had intermittent heating problems with these whirlpool base machines.

Have you checked the wiring in the door ? often the heater wires get brittle and break , but the insulation could be holding it to allow intermittent circuit . worth a check

For info, the problem was the main control board. Fitted new and has been working ok. Checking old board the 12v 16A black relay, bigger of the two relays, the contact was burnt so I assume this was the cause of it heating intermittently. Hope this helps.
