Can anyone help with the following, this unit has worked well over the last couple of years until today. It will start but after a short while will take out the main 80Amp RCD switch at the distribution box, but not the fused spur! any thoughts on what might be casuing this. many thanks in advance.

This is a Whirlpool manufactured model and the heaters seem prone to failure. There may also be a leak somehwere.

It should display an error code normally though 😕

    This post should help: 🙂

Thanks for your feed back, I unsuccessfully took a look at the machine this weekend, should have started with something easier like going to the moon, I also noticed that the water doesn’t/hasn’t drained away. This has happened before but understanding the fault light sequence has proved that a good clean was required, although no light sequence this time just a mains trip. Could the water staying in the machine be an indication of something else? The machine trips after a short period if i empty the water the unit will continue slighty longer and then trip, at that point the level of water in side the machine is the same.

Not draining, blockage or pump fault.
Tripping sounds like the base may be flooded.
