This is a Whirlpool made appliance. Check when the programme stops whether or not the lamp is flashing. If it is, it will be in a pattern, ie 1-2-3 pause, repeat. This is an error code, which can help identify the problem; although my first thought would be that the machine is not draining. Check sink coupling for blockages and drain hose for kinks. Beyond that the drain pump itself may be blocked, which entails a fair amount of demolition to access it.

Click the link below for pro help if you are unsure, power off at all times if you are going to investigate further.

    Hi
Does the START lamp flash a certain amount of times? If so how many?

thanks guys. the error flashing is – 1,2,3,4,pause, then this repeats

does that help identify the problem

    Hya Chris

Fault 4, thus it would be a drain failure.
So you will have to check for kinked pipes etc. If all that checks out It looking liek aweak drain pump.
