Hi Guys, throw me a lifebelt!! Appliance – 3 year old – running during night. Woken up by “beeping” which I eventually ( 3.30 in morning! ) realised was dishwasher. Opened it and saw [ I think – at that time! ] code F3. Switched it all off and went back to it in morning. Code F8 was showing now – if indeed I had actually seen F3 during night?. Tried reset by pressing Prog and Start together – cleared code. Tried starting again and pump out works ok, water comes from round black grill on left inside of appliance, arms dont turn and no water from arms, tried a gentle scrub at black grill inside base water trap, appliance stops with Start button doing 11 flashes and now has FA on code screen. I need the help of a sensible person – as opposed to my wife who made all the usual helpful comments!

    Hi
All faults may be down to the WI (Water Indicator) either being gunged up or faulty.
If you have already cleaned this, it may just be faulty 😕

    Re: Diplomat ADP8332 Dishwasher

Hi sorry for delay in reply! Left it alone for 4/5 days and tried it again last night and it seemed to work once after I held the start button for about 10 secs. Then it failed after that and now I get a constant “clicking” like a relay operating ( sounds like its in top right corner of front door panel )after about five minutes into the cycle – this is without the arms spinning. The fault panel flashes in conjunction with the “clicking” but it doesn’t indicate anything when I open door and I can’t see what its showing when it flashes due to position of the machine/door/worktop. Fault seems to be a moving target – any updates on potential causes would obviously be appreciated before I either start removing machine or getting on the phone!

Does my deodorant not work or have I said something inappropriate by mistake guys?? Wife is giving me RES – repetitive earache syndrome because I told her I would try to get help here before phoning engineer and so far I have had to fob her off with fictitious answers as to why I haven’t got a definitive reply. ( or as definitive as you can get without seeing the offending object! ) Any more help -please!!

Gegsy gave you the basic info in his reply. F8 and F11 are water level control issues. 8 is the water level switch in the sump (black grid), 11 is the optical water indicator. This one is a problem, as the OWI is not fitted to your appliance. F3 is no heat. If the machine hasn’t got enough water in it, the heater will not be activated. By the same token, if the water level switch isn’t working, the heater won’t come on.

So…….. get the level switch out and clean it properly with very hot water is the starting point. If that doesn’t do it and you get F11 again, the computer may well be playing up. It is very expensive, so this is the point at which you give in and get help.

Hi, common sense got the better of me – a rare occurrence!! I accessed a technician via your site and eventually after a bit of communication problems – ie, he wouldn’t! – He arrived and replaced the dreaded “chinese” pump which was spouting water from the perished hose and had created a puddle in the tray in addition to dribbling over the various electrics. All is now well, the wife is content, my ears have stopped bleeding and the technician will be going to Jamaica for his holidays courtesy of my wallet. Oh well it was cheaper than a new appliance. My grateful thanks to those who gave advice and have a nice Christmas when it arrives. ( Anybody want a fairly new, hardly used, slightly leaking, very annoying piece of far eastern CRAP?? – its available in my bin! ) 😀 😆
