My dishwasher developed the dreaded F4 fault last weekdend and after much readinng i decided to have a go at removing the silver panel.
Low and behold and as expected the bottom of the unt was wet.

I drainded and dryed it and decied to turn it on before putting the silver pane back on..

THe problem seems to be that the rear (hard to reach) hose at the top has a split in it and the water gushes out filling the bottom of the unit with water.

Can anyone tell me if this is an expensive job to fix. I dont wancy having a go myself as i am not that confident.

    Cheers

It’s such a common problem that we wrote THIS ARTICLE all about it.

You’ll need to budget for an hour and a half in labour (if you can get the machine in and out of the housing yourself, you will saved the engineer time). Rates do vary around the country, so this should be discussed when you book your appointment.

If you use the repairs@ link, you should be able to find a UKW engineer covering your post code.
