    Hi,

I just bought a Diplomat ADP8500 dishwasher secondhand and tried to get it set up over the weekend. I was told it was working, and have no real reason to doubt the lady who sold it to me, but I can’t get it to run properly.

It doesn’t matter which mode you put it on, when it starts it will drain properly then it does this kind of pulsing thing where the lights flash and it simultaneously fills slowly and drains at the same time. I have managed to get it to run through a complete cycle twice (only on the 40degree quick wash) when it did run through the general pattern was as follows:
    1) switch on
    2) drain
    3) pulse and flash with simultaneous fill and drain for about 30 pulses
    4) pause
    5) pulse and flash with simultaneous fill and drain for about 50 pulses
    6) pulse and flash with fill
    7) open the tablet cover
8 ) pulse and flash with circulation pump
    9) heat
    10) repeat for rinse
    11) seems to finish in approx 30minutes, but still has soap suds in it when it finishes.
Getting it to run twice was a fairly random thing with lots of button pressing and twiddling!

The drain and fill pipes appear to be clear and working, I have had the cover off the front at the bottom and mopped up the small amount of rusty water in there…

could you tell me what is wrong with it? I wonder whether it has something to do with it being moved, tipped, not *exactly* level? anything else I can try (cheap or free suggestions especially welcome 🙂 ) before getting rid of it??

    Thanks in advance!

    Paul Le Sueur.
