    Diplomat ADP8502 will not heat water at any temp setting. Removed and tested heat module (25 ohms) and function tested OK. Supply from PCB side socket to heater 240v OK, I guess this means the thermostat is U/S? But confused as to why the the stat would be in the main power line, surely it should be to the PCB?? Is the t-stat the large plug-in insert on the drain, or the smaller one on the housing?? Any suggestions, thanks 💡

    This is a Whirlpool-built machine. Temperature contol is via an NTC thermistor (the small probe in the sump) and electronic comparator array. The thermostat on the tube heater is a safety thermostat in case of an overheat situation. The large insert in the sump is a diaphragm switch and is the water level controller.

    Please don’t live test, it is rarely neccessary.

    Did you get an error code during the cycle? or did it just wash right through without heating?
