Diplomat ADP8902 D/W

    This dishwasher has smeg parts fitted. It has a strange fault, on starting up the pump runs for some while, then it appears to fill a small amount of water, then resorts to pumping, stops then pumps again. (its not a flooded base)
    There is a protruding piece of plastic around 2inch high, near filters like use to be in the Bosch D/W with a sliding magnet, but can’t see anything inside it. !!
    any advice would be welcome. Thanks John

    if i am right just before it stops is makes a faint beep

    change the power supply capacitor in the timer

    sounds pretty much as it should, proper fill starts after about 4 minutes of this.
