Diplomat ADPO150 No Power

Hi all

the oven is power dead so will not function at all

i have had it out and looked for a thermal switch but cannot seem to find one on this model

i have also tried changing the fuse in the plug but to no avail

when you plug it back in you can hear an electric like click but there is no power

im wondering if it is a board issue for the clock and timer i have had the board out no signs of a fault and have tested the capacitors the 68fu tests at 0.93 but im unsure if this is the correct reading to be honest

id be able to solder another capacitor but dont really want to if it not the issue any pne know what a 68fu cap should read on the multimeter

anyone else got any ideas what to try

well for a start off a capacitor on a multimeter does not read for long as one its charged you should get little or no reading. you would need to take it out of circuit and use a capacitance meter

cant find anything under that model number, are you sure its correct ?

is this oven digital control or has is just got a simple timer ?

it also goes by the name of Diplomat 600GA or ADPP0150

its a digital display

yes that is the timer in question, dont really want to spend the £75 without knowing that the problem first

was hoping i could fix the pcb myself

or even bypass it as i dont need the timer as its a 2nd oven so can use the other ovens timer

bypass should not be a problem.

you will find a large relay on the board. trace the relay connections to the terminals on the board and bridge them

if your not sure post a pic of the back of the clock and will try and help

Well I think I’ve managed it the oven now fires up on gas and the clock is dead I just found out which were ground and earth to the clock board and brided the power by passing the board and its fired up
