The timer unit on our Diplomat Select 610 oven makes a loud and continuous vibration/buzzing sound (but not the standard chime alert).
Assuming the clock unit is faulty, I’m happy not to replace it because we don’t use the timer and available replacements seem to cost £75+.
I would be grateful for advice on how to disconnect the clock unit. I’m assuming it will be safe enough to cut/disconnect the wires and cover with tape.
There are two blue wires and two red wires attached to the clock unit. Which will be the easiest and safest option to disconnect the clock and stop the noise without affecting the main oven temp controls?
