Diplomat ALT 5751

Hi Guys, newbie here with a question on above machine.
Fan had jammed, so a replacement was fitted. On testing, the fan works on the first position which looks like the cooling mode. When you turn it up the fan stops and the elements start heating up, but the fan turns off. Is this normal and will it work ok when oven is up to temp?.

sound like you have got the oven on the fan grill setting not the fan oven setting where the fan runs all the time

Cant understand that because we dont have a manual with the cooker.
There is 2 seperate doors for grill and oven and the grill has a seperate 4? position switch.

fan oven

fan runs all the time element goes on and off with the thermostat

fan grill

grill element stay on till it reaches temp. then element switches off and fan turns on

if that not what you are doing you must have a wiring error or a switch failure
