I have a Diplomat APM 8702 washer dryer. The motor is slipping / sticking during the intital reverse drum action at begining of wash cycle. The motor struggles to turn the drum and makes a buzzing noise. Once the programe advances to multiple reverse drum revolutions and to the spin mode the motor turns the drum OK.
I have taken motor out to check brushes, however can not find any brushes on this type of motor (TIPO M51). Put motor back. Drum turned OK in reverse drum action for a couple of washes then started slipping again.
I have checked belt tension, approx 1/2″ slack which should be OK and drum turns by hand with ease. The machine washes and drys OK other than the above problem.
Is this a motor roblem or a PCB / control module issue.
Please can you advise me of solution to see if I can fix the problem or wether I should replace the machine.
