Hi I know you don’t give advice on gas oven repairs but I’m a gas safe registered engineer my day job is fault finding and repairing gas boilers, recently I was asked to look at a gas grill fault on a diplomat softline 720g APD0530 on inspection I found the flame to be lazy but blue the flame is not always on the spark electrode which starts sparking again I guess this is also a flame sense electrode after awhile the unit cuts out on overheat, my question is the flame fan fed if so how many ohms should I get to check the fan is healthy, is the gas fed via a solenoid same question how many ohms to check health or am I looking at a pcb problem if you can not answer these questions on the public forum because of gas safety issues please email me I can give you my gas safe reg. Is the cooling fan running on it at all?

If not, look there as it’ll either be the fan motor itself but I’ve no clue what it should read, normally they are either OC or good. Then check the supply from the small PCB that controls it.

Thanks for the reply, I’m not with the appliance at the moment but when I was there the fan was running, the main oven is working fine it’s just the grill that’s playing up, the gas supply pressure to the appliance is ok it’s just the grill flame seams to be slow ,lazy wandering around no smell of unburnt gas could be an injector or gas solenoid that needs replacing is there a repair manual available for this appliance anywhere cheers.
