Hi, I have a Diplomat APL 8225/2 Dishwasher. It stopped working, I removed the motor to check everything was moving (no blockages) all seemed ok. when I re-assembled it work ok for a few days then stopped working again. It seems like there is no water getting in, if I measure the voltage across the inlet soleniod I get 12V AC ? should I get 240V AC ? Is there a way I can apply 240V across the solenoid to check it’s working ?

    Thanks, Allan

I found the problem…. the wiring loom runs from the bottom of the unit up the front of the door. A couple of these wires were broken, I think just through time/usage.

Yes, not an unusual problem for many dishwashers to be honest. Remember though any member of the public reading this. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains socket before undertaking any such repair, and if you are unsure of what you are doing, call an engineer !
