Diplomat APM 8513 Timer

Hi,

I am repairing a diplomat APM8513 Integrated Auto. The timer is constantly driving but not turning the dial. I thought – stupidly that the motor gear in the timer had gone. Ordered a new timer, fitted it and the machine is exactly the same.

Anyone any ideas please

sounds strange i would guess for a module.
you can get lots of strange module faults on those machines.
nearest thing i can think of to that fault is door locks and nothing happens= module.
part number may be on front of machine at bottom

Hi Ricky,

Karv is right, it’s usually the module that gives trouble, the timer on most machines these days where one is fitted is often little more than a selector switch. The actual “brains” if you like is all in the electronics.

This one will likely be the one for that machine. But do make sure you test everything else that you can first.

It is a bit of an oddball fault though.
