    Hi,
    I’ve just replaced the drain pump on a Diplomat APM 8552/2 washing machine. Bought the replacement on UK whitegoods, a Qualtex PMP87 pump. The question is, which way do the electrical spade connections go? The original pump was labelled L and N however the replacement is not labelled at all. Any help appreciated…

    It doesn’t usually matter which way round they’re connected. Bit like a light bulb really!
