Diplomat APM8512/1 sticks / no spin

Hmmmm. First called a last month to this machine with n d a fault. Checked out all usual stuff and ordered the ..21401 PCB from EMW. All tested fine and dandy.
Customer rang back a week later saying it wouldn’t spin, told them about the unbalanced load probs and they checked it again.
Called again a couple of days later so I went out to check it over, spins fine, left a load running and that spun fine.
Got a call back with same fault so this time I’ve seen it….the programme is sticking in distribute, ramps up then cuts out with no pump for a second, slows to stationary, then does the same again ad infinitum or until the timer is turned manually. Spoke to Tony @EMW who said to check the timer motor ( 😳 forgot old school type machines) but there doesn’t appear to be any power to it on distribute when I would’ve thought it should’ve been there to advance to spin.
Where does the timer motor get power from on this model and does the timer actually advance it into spin 😕
