diplomat APM8702 washer/dryer – how remove detergent drawer

Hi, the detergent drawer of my washer/dryer has been filthy for ages, especially the compartment where the fabric conditioner goes in. However, I can get the bit out where the detergent goes in, but cannot remove the whole drawer. It’s got to a point now where the fabric conditioner section is completely blocked and I cannot clean it. Any ideas how to get the drawer out?

Hook your thumbs into the corners of the drawer and pull hard. Do not pull it by the front piece – it will break.

I will try that. I’ve tried pulling it and lifting it and goodness knows what but it just doesn’t seem to budge. Thanks
