My Diplomat APP2530 extractor has gone dead. I switched it on once and it sounded seemed to go like the fuse had gone. Lights or fan not working – seems there is no power! Changed fuse at wall and still not working.

Any idea what else it could be? I don’t really want to start taking the unit apart as I haven’t got a clue!

As you are aware this is an all singing all dancing cooker hood. It has a control pcb, a switch panel and a transformer under the hood all of which could be causing the problem. This is not a diy repair and I would suggest you look at repairs@ and find yourself a MFI approved repairer in your area. I am not trying to stop you having a go – but after you have bought the wrong parts a couple of times and racked up £100 or so and still it doesn’t work – you’ll get my drift :rolls:

    Thanks.

I did ring a few companies from Yellow pages – probably not the best thing to do anyway, but none were interested and said I would be better off buying a new one. I have no idea – it was there when I bought the house! I will check out the contacts on this site 8)

repairs@ input MFI as Manufacturer and then post code. That should work.
