just because the oven door exploded after a few years of use does not mean that its a design fault .

Participantand what where you doing?
all sat round the cooker, waitin for something to happen?
its safety glass, and doesnt explode, it shattersso ud have to be pretty close to do any kind of harm, or indeed sat practically in or in front of the oven
you make me laugh, personally, id have swept the glass up, and made sure my child was oknot sit on the net with pound signs flashing before my eyes
so within half an hour
your oven ‘exploded’ all over the three of you, and within the elapsed time, you did what? scoure the internet to find out who to claim compensation offdidnt you bother to clean up? did your partner have his head in the oven?
get a life

That’ll do, chaps.
New poster may be over-reacting, or be mis-informed as to the properties of tempered glass. A good starting point may be found HERE.
As the appliance has been previously owned and passed on, there is no record of it’s previous usage, or, more importantly, how it was transported to its new home. I imagine it certainly wasn’t re-packed into the original packaging and the new owner will not be acknowledged by the manufacturer.
I’m afraid it happens in a minute number of cases in the grand scheme of things. Get it repaired, or buy a decent quality new one with a warranty.
