One of the bulbs in my cooker hood has blown with a bang. Now the whole hood does not work including the fan ! Have changed the fuses and added two new bulbs without success! Any ideas?
    It’s a DIPLOMAT elite ABA2240 serial No. 05-08-002937

When you say you checked the fuses do you mean inside or in the Plug / Fused connection unit feeding the hood?
Have also come across quite a few hoods where they are on their own Radial circuit direct from the Fusebox worth checking as may be nothing more that an MCB needs re-setting in the box. 🙂

Re: DIPLOMAT COOKER HOOD NOT WORKING!

Thanks for the reply. The hood has it’s own plug which I changed the fuse on, also this is is plugged into a socket which is part of the ring for all the sockets in the kitchen which are working fine. Checked the main fuse box and all is ok. There doesn’t seem to be any scorch marks on any other wiring, (I’m not an electrician by the way but a mechanical fitter with a little bit of knowledge) but this one’s got me stumped!! 😳

    Thank’s Gary

    HI

it will need the switch bank replacing, the fuse fitted probably wasnt a 3amp one which has blown the tracks on the switch bank.
