Hi, this is probably covered somewhere in this forum but I’ve got a nine year old Diplomat 700ga ADPO540 oven and the grill is driving me mad. It cuts out in the middle of cooking and the timer/clock goes out and it cannot be re lit for about five mins until the clock comes back on. On top off that it has now decided to not self ignite so we are having to remember to use a lighter, interesting when we forget for a minute. Anyone had similar problems, if so is it curable or terminal? Thanks for any advice, J.

    Re: Diplomat cutting out

sounds like its overheating and cutting out

is the cooling fan operating. some ovens have a cold air cooling fan to keep things cool. this unit looks like a belling and has a fan at the rear of the unit controlled by a small circuit board. most likely a board fault as I have had a few

Ta for the reply, I think the cooling fan is operating as I can hear a fan noise after turning it off. How do I get to the curcuit board to check it, is there a service diagram anywhere? J.

if the fan is running then board will be ok. pull it out and check fan is clear ie nothing blocking it or the airflow

no service info available unless your an approved agent and I am not

Thanks, I’ll give it a go in the next couple of days, full of flu at the moment, J.
