    model ADP 8224

    error E7 showing

hand filled with water,,start prog.. unit empties although the first stage of drain is a little weak, then it goes into full flow.

drain pump continues to run after emptying

    no water intake

then after 2-3 mins E7 kicks in

have not removed unit as it is tiled in with new ceramic flooring..who are these saddo’s who think you can encase appliances to save a few bob, for someone else to try and remove when they are far gone.

I am aware E7 is timing out, but is it a drain pump problem or something else.

    many thanks

Hi Graham, have a search for Smeg error stuff….loads about. E7 is drain time out but could be similar to E2 which is well posted. Filling by hand and then running may possibly give faults anyway.
Basically, if the pump/pumping is ok, pressure switch ok and the transfer tube and matrix spotless….ohh and the dispenser solenoid ok the it’ll be the pcb…probably 😕

You can remove the pump easily with the machine is situ. E7 is an unusual error on that model, while its a common failure on the 5 button version.
