diplomat dishwasher

Hi weve just moved in to a new house with a diplomat fitted dishwasher,sorry i cant get to the model number without dismantelling half the kitchen.It has an LED display in the right hand corner with the setting written alomg the top.The problem is it wont drain any water, ive cleaned the hoses and filter ,first i got error message2 ,cleaned everthing.the machine started to work.then beeped 4 times and showed the error message7.Sorry to be so vague,but ant help would be great .Thanks

Yup, 7 is no drain within the time allowed. Do the obvious first. Check that the previous occupants haven’t blanked the drain coupling, or that it has choked with crud over time.

Next, select any programme and you should hear the drain pump running – it is the first action of most programmes. If you can’t hear it running, the pump will be blocked, jammed or failed. This is awkward as it is not accessible from within the appliance, so it will have to come out of its housing and be removed.

If you are not confident, get pro help – check Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW engineer in your area. If you’re going to have a go, drain the machine manually first and ensure that the power is disconnected :plug:

Thanks for the quick reply , sounds quite serious ,the missus wont be to pleased its the first dishwasher shes ever had,any idea of the cost? Thanks again

Labour rates vary widely across the country – discuss with your repairer when you make the appointment – most will allow for an hour and a half due to the machine being integrated.
