I am getting an E1 error message on my dishwasher and do not know what it stands for? When I start a cycle, the dishwasher sounds as though it is trying to drain the water from the machine (but there is no water to drain) and then the E1 message comes up after a while.

I did pour some water into the machine and started a cycle and the machine drained the water and then the E1 came up.

    Can anybody help me please?

    Thank you.

Flood protection activated – the undertray has flooded and operated the float switch. With the power off, drain the water to reset float switch. However, you still have to find the leak.

Click the link below for a local engineer if you’re not sure what you’re doing.
