Yes, this sounds like the infamous E2 fault, most often caused by food blockages. First port of call is to lift out the filter in the base and locate the rubber flap at about the 1 o’clock position in the sump.
This reveals a pipe which will need cleaning. Unfortunately the pipe does a right angle turn to the right about half way in so you need to rod it with something flexible. I personally use a piece of thin tubing which will not only go around the bend but i can also blow through to clear the blockage. Pouring a pint or two of water into the sump first allows you to carefully ‘jet’ the pipe clear by carefully sucking and blowing through the tube.
Reset the machine and run a rinse, then reassemble with flap and filter.
