ParticipantHi
I have a diplomat dishwasher ADP 8902 which stopped working and left water in the bottom. The last two lights buttons number 4 normal wash and number 5 intensive was are flashing and there are some beeps. I took off the draining pipe under the sink and could suck water out but not blow air in. I then got a pump and forced air through the pipe into the machine and a bit of glass was forced back into the machine. This was obviously blocking the pump but the lights have not changed. Help!! What do I do to reset the dishwasher? ❓

Press and hold the programme button for approximately 5 seconds. Shut door, drain pump should run for approx 1 minute. When it stops, lamps 4+5 should be lit. Switch off, switch on, the machine should programme.

Thabksfor the reply Penguin 45.
I have tried this but the drain pump does not come on. I have emptied the water out ot the machine. Should I put some back in to activate the drain pump?

I opened up the bottom panel and took some of the rubber hoses off and checked that everything appeared to be OK. I then reassembled and put some water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I tried holding the program button down for 5 seconds and then closed the dishwasher door. I then had error code E6 come up. What do I do now? Help!!

I think I’d pull the drain pump and see what’s inside before going any further.
Power off, first.

Hi again Penguin45
I should have said that I took the pump off and it seemed ok. I took it off again today and manualy moved it with a screw driver and it seemed ok. I also made sure that there were no blockages in the pipes/filters.
I still have a non functioning dish washer. with error code 6. I am beginning to think the bit of glass I got out maybe jammed the pump and it could have burnt out. I think I will have to buy a new pump. Do you know a good online site where I cold look for one?

Hi Penguin45
Well I got the new pump, fitted it and nothing happened. The same lights came on and no water drained etc.
Any ideas?

Grrr – presumably the pcb isn’t switching the bugger on. If the previous pump was jammed solid the extra load may damage the pcb – possibly a blown track or triac. If you’re into electronics you may be able to fix it; if not budget for at least £100 to replace the pcb.
Sorry,

Thanks Penguin45. With the luck I have had this month I thought it was going that way. I just had to pay £500 for a reconditioned cylinder head for my wifes car.
