Diplomat Dishwasher Elec fault?

Hi all, I,ll try to be brief 🙂

Diplomat dishwasher worked fine for near on 2 years, month ago had problem, when power button is on and door closed for cycle it appears to cause a short circuit and all house electrics go off !!!

Then it was fine for a fortnight and now the same is happening, i have been back and forward to the fuse box as each time I try to get it working and close the door everything goes off.

Nothing has changed to the dishwasher since it was installed.

Cant help but think it must be something to do with the wire attached from door to dishwasher body to instruct power on?

Its likely to be a broken wire in the harness adjacent the door hinge, shorting intermittently against the metalwork!

Thanks Martin, so can I assume this is something I cant patch up and will need to call an electrcian or dishwasher repair?

Was thinking I could slide a pce of plastic or something in between metal dishwasher frame and the harness to stop the harness touching it.

Then again I dont want to risk blowing the house up 🙂

I,m in the Reading area if any engineers that are local could assist.
