Diplomat dishwasher stops after 30 seconds.

I recently moved into a flat that has an integrated Diplomat dishwasher with the controls at the top of the door on the inside of the machine. It worked fine for about 2 months but now has stopped working. I don’t know what the model number is and I have no manual for it and also can’t find any numbers for a customer help line. I think the machine is only just a year old as we managed to speak to the person who had the flat before us.

The problem is, when I switch it on, on any of the programmes, it seems to start okay and then within about 30 seconds starts bleeping with a long bleep that stops and starts until I open the door and press the button on the far right which looks like a start button. On the left I have a power on and off buttons and on the right there are programme buttons.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Check down the sides of the door Nims for the model number, it should begin APL or AHY or similar.

Without that we’re a bit stumped I’m afraid as it could be one of a few manufacturers that made this appliance for MFI.

From the description of the buttons I reckon it’s a Whirlpool machine.
When it’s doing it’s beeping and you open the door is the light at the right hand button flashing? If it is, count the flashes between the pauses and post the result here.

I tried the ‘press the programme button 4 times’ trick that was recommended in a previous posting but this didn’t work. I’ll check the number and also the number of seconds between the flashing light tonight and will let you know.

Hello again.

The machine is a Diplomat and the model number is ADP8322 and the timing of the flashing light is that it flashes 6 times followed by a pause of approximely a second long.

It means it’s not filling with water, check the taps and hoses etc to ensure the water supply is OK.

Hello Again

Managed to have a look at the back of the machine and not much to look at so checked the water inlet pipe and this is not blocked. Looks like we’ll have to get someone in to have a look at this. Would you be able to suggest where I can find a good plumber/engineer to come and have a look at this ? I have delat with dodgy plumbers in the past so am nervous to get just anybody from the yellow pages.
