My brother has a diplomat dishwasher – but the buttons on the left hand side where you set the program, one stays permantly on, one flashes and as result the dishwasher is jammed. and has been out of use for months

A plumber has advised us it needs a release code to reset the programming.

I have just found your fanstastic website and really hope someone can advise at all?

Charges are £70 call out before anything is done we which feel is extreme as you can buy a new one for not much more than that!

If you can post the model number and which lights are staying on and which are flashing we can advise further.

A new dishwasher of this type, fully integrated etc would cost in excess of £400 to replace by the way, plus the cost of installation 😉

That’s indicating that the dishwasher has a leak and the aquastop safety device has been activated.

No reset for this one as the leak will need to be identified and rectified before doing anything else.

There may be water in the base so I would suggest it is disconnected from the power and an engineer attends to repair it for you.

The £70 call out you mention will almost certainly include some labour time, quite often enough to carry out the repair.

    Dave.
