Diplomat F/F APM6855-1 Fan Motor – What’s So Special?

Hi,

Is there anything special about this motor hence its expensive price tag
from Connect – 5045171056666.

I notice it has a pcb potted into the field winding area. Is this just a way of
connecting the various connections – measuring on ohms and kohms
indicates an open circuit winding… would one usually expect a reading or

does the pcb have some additional circuitry.

Can an alternative be used and can you point me to it please?

Yes they’re expensive…. only real test is to apply voltage….
