    Hi

This is a great site and I’ve trawled the board to see if a similar problem to mine has been submitted but can’t find anything. Anyway, I’ve got a gas cooker model no. APL 5620. I paid about £500 for it and its about 8 years old and its developed a problem and I don’t know if its worth getting it fixed or bite the bullet and buy a new one (rather reluctant due to finances).

The gas oven ignites fine with no problems and after 60 seconds or so the flame should ‘whoosh’ up to the full flame. But it doesnt it stays on the slow pilot flame. Has anyone got any ideas of what could be wrong with it, and a general estimate of cost to fix it?

    thanks sue

it sounds as if the flame failure device has failed this is quite easy to repair and must be done by corgi qualified engineer approx cost £80 -£100 regards nigel 🙂
