Diplomat halogen hob problem……error 03 ??????

Hi,
My old dear has had a Howden Kitchen fitted and with it came a diplomat halogen dual control hob, unsure of model No brochure says ADP 1520 but it looks slightly different, anyway,,, she has lost the manual and messed it up, when I try to turn it on, all temp dispays show L (low), when I keep my finger on the “ON” button, it bleeps and flashes er03, I presume thats error 03, can anyone please help me out with a bit of info. Cant do anything with it at all, have been in contact with Howdens for a manual, but it wont be here before Christmas.

Hi Keith,

Sorry I couldn’t look at this until I was in the office. No, it’s not an ADP1520 that’s for sure.

To help we will need the correct model number off the rating plate which should be on the underside of the hob I’m afraid.

Well after a few phone calls I have what I hope is the model No ADP1613, but still no manual. Any help would be much appreciated.

That could well be the model number Keith but there’s no service information listed for it on the CDROM and, inportantly, no fault codes. 🙁

There’s also no part number for the manual.

There are only 11 parts listed though so it’s got to be a simple fault, I’d suspect the board itself or one of the elements was faulty. Any decent engineer should be able to suss it out with little trouble.

The only way to be absolutely sure on the model number is to have a look underneath and find the rating plate, there is no other way I’m afraid.

However the chances of getting any spares required before Firday now are, at best, extremely slim. 🙁

My brainy missus sussed the problem, she pressed the ON button and the front ring button together and then she thinks the ring button again and Bingo all controls unlocked and Hob works 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. Must be some kind of child lock.
