Diplomat/Hygena 2200/2210 cooker hood: Fans not working but light is OK.

My main question is: do you have to remove the unit from the wall to get at the switchgear, as it seems to be hidden behind plastic mouldings?

Also, is it most likely to be the microswitch for the front panel or the 3-speed fan switch/pcb?

    Thanks

    Hi,
Did you manage to change the switch unit. I have the same problem. Is it easy to get out?

Hi broadbean, I manged to fix it without taking the switchgear out. The prob was that the little bent wire activator on the side of the microswitch needed easing out a fraction. Try pushing it in with your finger while the fans are switched on and – presto! Or not.

If you do have to get the switchgear out, I THINK the whole lot can be prised out of the bottom of the unit – but not very easily! Others might know better???
