Diplomat integrated dishwasher cannot select wash program

Diplomat intregrated dishwasher cannot select any wash program. The “strong” program light just flashes. However, sometimes when you close the door, you can hear a double bleep. Have tried turning off at mains and waiting 30 minutes. Please, please help!! Thanks Nick

Diplomat is an MFI own brand and as such they have used various manufacturers machines which all have different fault codes and reset procedures. Have a look down the edge of the door and let us know the model number 😉

This particular model is made by Smeg. Have a search through the forums using ‘Smeg AND reset’ to find the procedure. they are known for having some strange faults which can sometimes be sorted by resetting.

If that doesn’t work then let us know which lights are on and which are blinking by giving them a number i.e. the left hand light as number one, the next to it going right as number two etc…this will translate into a fault code which will give an indication of the fault.

i found a similar problem within this forum. The problem is with the control panel as the locking mechanism appears to be faulty. I have ordered another( £23) one and looking forward to fixing it when it arrived. Thanks for all help.
