Diplomat Model 8702

Hi troops new here……… 😀

My young sister asked me round to look at her washer drier, being a time served Electrician, I get these jobs now and again. Washing Machines are not my area of expertise, but i normally get by, more often than not, by only changing the brushes 8) .

This one has me stumped, the light comes on when you power up but after selecting a programme, nothing happens, not one movement from any component, this in the wash and drying programmes. Anyone got a step for a hint, timer problems????

Is the door locking ?

If it is it’s a classic module fault.

Thanks for the reply mate, yes the door is locking and un-locking when it should, including the 2 minute hold on. What do you reckon a new timer module?

Almost certainly the module but there are two version of this model, you’ll need to find the rating plate (behind the plinth normally).

It’s either APM8702 or APM8702-1
