Diplomat oven

Hi, we moved into a new place and have a diplomat oven which is pretty old, however we have noticed when we switch main fan oven on it takes a while to kick into gear, it will switch on and heat up and then the fan (I think) makes an awful old noise start up and then it kicks into gear and reaches temperature. Any ideas what it could be?

sounds like the motor has a bearing problem
