The thermostat neon on this oven is partially illuminated when the controls are in the off position, although there is 230v on it during this time its dropping 150v across it.

The neon functions perfectly when the various controls are selected and fully extinguishes when it ought to. Anyone come across this, unfortunately did not have a substitute neon to use at the time?

We had this on a Bernstien range recently, turned out to be a poor neutral on the mains terminal block (the links).

And you should know better, what’s the model number you old git ? 😆

Had this once before on a diplomat, quite a long time ago infact. Ended up having to call one of their engineers who told me to reverse the connectors.
Well, pretty sceptical, but did as I was told and bu**er me it worked.
Never did find out why though.
    Gotta be worth a try.

Thanks for that Dented, Kwatt mentioned that when I was chatting to him yesterday, so will give it a try.

Going back with a replacement neon as well, just in case.
