interested in cost of oven element and also fan for same. Can’t help but be cynical was this an inferior element fitted that couldn’t cope with use and would give up the ghost after 6 mths, or just one of those things?!
any assistance would be cheerfully recieved.
    Thanks.

    hi tel

Six months is not very long for any element to last so surely you could argue with the repairer? (whatever the stated guarantee)
I like many others give a no-quibble guarantee for 1 year on my repairs so if the repairer is reputable then they must be approachable especially considering the cost to that repairer to replace the element again would not be too great.

tried the ‘can believe you’d loose further business do to 3 days over’… but no deal. the company is Global Repairs we used them cos they seemed to be a decent size (not here today gone tomorrow). I’m glad you agree tho that 6 mths isn’t long for a repaired part to last.

    Tel,
Doesn’t get away from Clives point – a new component should be guaranteeed for one year, unless it is a consummable item (Vacuum cleaner belts, filters and the like).

May I suggest that you check in Directories or Repairs@ for a repairer in your area? We sign up to a Charter and are regulated, so you won’t get the same problems from one of our members.

Yes my element went too – i think they are prone.

However, my front door has shattered too now so I am having a complete new diplomat installed. The old one has a new element in it that cost me £90+ my model is ADP3101 and if the 2 elements are the same we could do a deal, though not instantly, when my new one arrives.

Just confirming that it is the same element in both machines – part number 76X3719.
