Diplomat Oven Model – ADP3553

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has any infomation that could help me. I have had this built in oven for 2 years – Diplomat ADP 3553. I haven’t had any previous issues, however one morning while using the oven – the electricity breakers tripped.I Just thought i had to much switched on at the time. So i had a quick check round and nothing seemed to be on fire or exploding so switch the breaker back on. As i said i was using the oven at the time and it was still hot and had cooked my food. I came back to use the oven couple of days later to find that it was working (light comes on – the 2 lights on the front light up, the fan spins fine but no warmth what so ever. Just blowning cold air around. I have read through loads of posts but can’t seem to find what i’m looking for. On the whole and from what people have said i would be inclined to go for the element – however i opened her up and couldn’t really see any thing wrong with the element (although i don’t really know what am looking for, and yes i turned all the elcetricity in the house off – not just th oven) – So my question – whats the likely hood its the element and whats the cost of it likely to be? I’ve had a look at some elements prices range around £30. Advise?

There’s a very good chance it’s the fan oven element although there’s always the possibility that there’s something else happened as well.

If you’re not sure I’d advise getting a professional to look at it for you, but if you want to get the element and try it will cost around £30-£45 plus postage.

There are 2 versions of that oven which both use slightly different elements and are different prices – if you can get the full serial number we can identify which one you need.
