Our oven only stays on for up to 10 minutes at a time before turning off (the display and the flame both go out) and then stays off for up to 30 mins before we are able to use it again. Any ideas as to what this problem could be caused by? Cheers.

    Re: Diplomat oven problem

No idea i’m afraid, other than it runs on gas. We’re students and are renting the property and I cannot find a model number on the oven itself. Unfortunately our landlord is a lazy git and so I am trying to find this out in order to be able to tell him what is wrong with it.

Could it be a thermostat problem? If it need replacing then perhaps the oven thinks it is overheating and therefore turns itself off?

    Re: Diplomat oven problem

    Hiya,

We’ll struggle to help in that case in all honesty as there are huge differences. In fact, on Diplomat even the actual actual manufacturer can vary from model to model. 😕

It could be a number of thing, overheat stat (if fitted), clock, FFD….

Without more info it’s really hard to offer any more help. 🙁

    Re: Diplomat oven problem

sounds exactly like the problem that I have with mine (see the post directly below this one “Diplomat oven cut’s out and cuts off power”

For your model number look for a silverish plate towards the bottom of the door or below the bottom of the seal.
