Help!
I have a 3 year old Diplomat Grill / Oven (Model No: APL3301 IX, SNr: 5860177000) and the heating element for the fan oven has broken. I am trying to find someone to come out and look at it but no-one I try deals with Diplomat products.
Do you know anyone in the Hampshire area who would be able to help?

I hope u have got the oven sorted by now, but my oven is exactly the same with the same fault.
Lat night we looked on t’internet and found that all Diplomat Ovens are made by Hygena.
The part we are looking for is a ‘Fan element’ this can be purchased from the website (Hygena for about £12.99)

Foxy, which website did you get the element from ? MFI (Hygena) don’t sell spares via the internet and their list price is £26.99 plus VAT for that element.

Firstly I would like to apologise, (I was led to belive that the site was actually the Hygena one, by my Husband – yes death will b close when he returns from work!!!!!)

No it’s not a con (pricewise) it’s actually very cheap to be honest, which is why I was intertested in who was selling them at that price.
It is the wrong element though, the original is 2000W that one is 2500W. It’s what is is known as a “pattern” part, hence the price and the wrong wattage.
No need to alarm yourself though, nothing wrong with many pattern spares, even the extra 500W shouldn’t make a huge difference as the oven will be rated at 3000W.

It’s probably a non-genuine spare and that’s why it will be cheaper. You may also find that you have to fiddle a bit to get it to fit correctly due to this, which is fine if you know what you’re about not so great if you don’t.
Dave will be able to get one a lot quicker than that as well. 😉

Thanks for this (Hubby will replace it when he gets home from work) I have actually found a place in Northants that can supply me one for £19.99 (not too bad) as I dont fancy cooking another roast dinner under the grill!!
However, on another note, I have a Bosch washing machine its a Classixx 1200, we brought it in Oct last year and since then the final spin has become much louder that it originally was and it doesnt seem to wash, spin aswell as it did.
Any ideas???

Do be careful not to ‘over suds’ the machine. Bosch machines don’t like too much detergent using as they foam like crazy and its hard to rinse away. Especially using ‘Quick Wash’ which is best avoided when you’re washing towels etc that need lots of rinses anyway.
Check the pump also (see instruction booklet for access info) as you may have a button rattling about inside it? 🙂 Make the usual checks then try it again. If its still noisy, give Bosch a bell as its under guarantee 😉
